World Champions will be decided in Perth, and if that isn't enough,
seventy five per cent of nations to compete at the 2012 London Olympic
Games will earn their places at Perth 2011, with the remaining 25 per
cent to be finalised at the respective class World Championships, in
early 2012.
This Regatta will be held at Fremantle between
Bathers Bay, Challenger Harbour and Fremantle Harbour and will attract
1,400 international competitors, 5,000 official personnel and hundreds
of thousands of visitors to Western Australia.
In Fremantle,
spectators will feel the excitement and be blown away as competitors
bring the exhilarating action in very close to the shore. As the event
unfolds, 564 million viewers worldwide are expected to follow coverage
of the event on the television and through the Internet.
