The outback national parks and reserves of the Goldfields region
are characterised by golden plains, eucalypt forests, freshwater swamps
and salt lakes. Surprisingly rich in plant and animal life, you’ll find
tiny, fragile looking marsupials hiding in the undergrowth, bush birds
flitting through the branches and water birds migrating for miles to
reach the wetlands and waterways.
The Goldfield’s vast network of national parks and conservation reserves includes:
Burra Rock Conservation Park
Goldfields Woodlands National Park
Goongarrie National Park
Jaurdi Conservation Reserve
Rowles Lagoon Conservation Park
In order to enter any of Western Australia's stunning national parks you will need to obtain a National Park Pass from the Department of Conservation and Environment (DEC). Visit www.naturebase.net to find out more about passes and the outback national parks of the Goldfields region.
